Maupin family papers [manuscript], 1790-1956.

The collection contians an indenture, 1790 September 8, Daniel Maupin, Jr., to Bernard Brown and Brightberry Brown, executors for the estate of Henry Hallet, for 150 acres in Albemarle County. The collection also contains a copy, circa 1955, of the will of Gabriel Maupin the immigrant, probated 1719 in Williamsburg. This copy is in turn a copy of an 1865 transcript made by Socrates Maupin shortly before the fire that destroyed Richmond records. The collection also contains a Maupin family genealogy and letters between Mrs. R. Corbin Maupin and Bernard Chamberlain.
